RAIN makes a refreshing change, but the downside is muddy shoes, tools, vehicles, camping and sports equipment.
And let's not get started on the dripping umbrellas.
That's when, NeverWet water-repelling spray, a new product from Rust-Oleum, can come in handy.
Rust-Oleum national sales director Brian Hayes said the two-step, spray-on treatment caused water droplets to form a contact angle of up to 165 degrees.
"When water, mud and ice contact a NeverWet treated surface, the extreme contact angle causes the liquid to form beads, which then glide off the surface, keeping the item clean and dry," Mr Hayes said.
"It also guards virtually any surface against corrosion and wear caused by exposure to moisture.
Mr Hayes said the product was touch-dry in 30 minutes.
"It can be used on a wide range of materials including metal, wood, aluminium, concrete, canvas, and most plastics," he said.
"This one of a kind temporary surface treatment is ideal for indoor and outdoor use, including camping and sports equipment, work boots and gloves, gardening tools and gloves.
"And no more puddles in the house from dripping umbrellas."
NeverWet is at Bunnings Warehouse and independent hardware stores.
