Royal needs protecting
Re "Game of drones: it's war on weeds" (Leader, June 26).
If Cr Schreiber was serious about protecting the Royal National Park at Bundeena he would drop his support for the clearing of the council's bushland and the Scout land for a tourism resort and support the local community and the NPWS in their desire to see the land added to the Royal.
Clearing bush that contains wetland and upland swamp for development is only going to make the weed problem worse.
These councillors are all bells and whistles, as with their show pony endorsement of the world heritage listing of the Royal.
When it comes to making the important decisions to protect the Royal and the Bundeena wetland, they go missing in action.
