JAMES Shepherd is the third coach his season for the Cronulla Sharks who tackle Sydney Roosters at 7.30pm tonight at Allianz Stadium.
Shepherd has been an assistant to Peter Sharp who quit his post on Monday night.
Shepherd played for the Roosters in the early 1990s on the wing and has had many years experience coaching and in recruitment with Wests Tigers, Melbourne Storm and Sharks.
Sharp was filling in for head coach Shane Flanagan who is suspended for nine months until mid-September.
So, that's three coaches this season and the club is now searching for a fourth coach to look after the team until the end of the season.
The suspension was imposed on Flanagan by the NRL over the supplements program in 2011.
