With regard to "Fortune seized from dormant accounts" (Leader, June 17).
I heard the federal Finance Minister on radio ask: "Why should banks keep this money?"
I would imagine the only answer to such a question would be "because that is exactly where I want to keep my money".
Banks, and for that matter, Centrelink, are well aware of our mortality. Anyone seizing an account in my name — the government or anyone else — should be considered to have stolen my funds.
