THE first person to hit a hole in one on the 10th hole at the St George and Sutherland Medical Research Foundation charity golf day at Beverly Park Golf Club on Friday, August 29, will win an Alfa Romeo Giulietta donated by Tynan Motors.
The golf day raises money for vital medical research at St George and Sutherland hospitals, and is being supported by ear, nose and throat specialist Zoran Becvarovski from St George Private Hospital, and the principal of Chat Financial Planning at Kogarah, Michael Lehner.
Since 2007, the foundation has delivered more than $1 million to research projects at the two hospitals.
Foundation chief executive officer Peter Christopher said: "It's events like this golf day that bring together our community in many ways to assist our doctors and researchers to continue their vital work."
Dr Becvarovski said medical research "was necessary to continue assisting our community and the wider public in finding cures and comfort for patients who have life- threatening diseases and medical challenges".
The Dragons have entered a team, and Sports Chair Australia has donated an executive office chair featuring the Dragons' red "V" to the first person to hit a hole in one on the third hole.
Tickets are $125 (game, refreshments, tee-off snack and lunch); corporate hole sponsorship is available.
