PAUL Gallen is out again and will miss the clash with Penrith at Carrington Park, Bathurst, at 3pm this Saturday.
The skipper's torn biceps muscle is responding to treatment and he will be sidelined for at least another week. Gallen didn't play last Friday against the Cowboys.
In 1969, astronaut Neil Armstrong landed on the moon. That was the last time the Sharks received the dreaded wooden spoon.
The only other time was in 1967.
The Sharks don't want a third wooden spoon on their footy CV.
While Gallen will miss the Penrith game, Chris Heighington (calf muscle) returns and has been named by coach James Shepherd on the interchange bench.
The Sharks are last on 12 points with seven rounds to play.
They were outplayed when beaten 36-18 by North Queensland Cowboys last Friday night at Remondis Stadium.
Fullback Michael Gordon, who scored a try and kicked three goals, passed the 1000 career points milestone, a feat he has achieved playing at two clubs, Penrith and the Sharks.
