A Wollongong man been charged with the sexual assault of a teenage girl, 15, at McDonald's Heathcote.
Just before 5am on April 20, police were called to the fastfood restaurant on the Princes Highway after reports that a girl, 15, was assaulted by a man in the car park.
Sutherland police and Child Abuse Squad detectives who have been investigating the incident, arrested a man, 20, today at Wollongong police station.
He was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault before being granted strict conditional bail to appear in Port Kembla Local Court on August 19.
The squad investigates crimes against children, including sexual assault, physical abuse and serious cases of neglect. It works in partnership with the Department of Family and Community Services and NSW Health.
