HURSTVILLE Council welcomes feedback on plans for its city centre.
The council's draft local environmental plan (Hurstville City Centre) 2014 and draft amendment to development control plan 2 are on public exhibition until August 14.
Once approved by the state planning minister, the draft LEP will replace Hurstville LEP 1994.
Hurstville mayor Jack Jacovou is encouraging residents, businesses and stakeholders to provide further feedback to the council during the exhibition period.
"Once approved, the two plans will provide certainty on what can and cannot be developed within the CBD," Cr Jacovou said.
The draft LEP had been on public exhibition in early 2012 but the council was required to undertake a transport management and accessibility plan before the draft LEP could be finalised. In response to the findings of that plan, the council resolved to amend the draft LEP and re-exhibit it.
The draft LEP and DCP can be viewed at:
■customer service centre, Civic Centre, MacMahon Street, Hurstville, 8.30am-4.30pm, Monday to Friday;
■Hurstville and Penshurst libraries.
