MORE than 180 people enjoyed the weekend Tree-Mendous Wolli walk through the Wolli Creek Valley which they say is threatened by the proposed WestConnex motorway.
The Wolli Creek Preservation Society event had art installations and live music along the track to Illoura Reserve to protest the proposed WestConnex motorway.
Protesters say the motorway would destroy trees and ecosystems in the valley.
Society vice-president Deb Little said that despite the winds, the event attracted many people and 130 more signatures on the petition.
‘‘We had lots of nice feedback from the experience of the artwork and music, and the information we provided,’’ she said.
Will you miss the Wolli Creek Valley bushland if the WestConnex motorway goes through?
