Police appeal for witnesses after Rockdale hotel armed robbery

St George police said two men approached the rear door of the hotel on the Princes Highway about 6am. They smashed open the door using a sledgehammer.

Both men, one carrying a firearm, searched the premises but left empty-handed.

No one was in the hotel at the time.

St George police want  to speak to two men driving a silver Audi 4WD who may be able to assist them with their inquiries.

One man is described as wearing a grey, hooded jumper and black pants.

The second was wearing a white hooded jumper, blue/green shirt, dark pants with a large red stripe down the legs, and white sneakers.
