A MAN will face court today charged over a fatal crash that occurred in Yanderra last month.
At about 6pm on Saturday, June 28, emergency services were called to Remembrance Drive, following reports of a two-vehicle crash.
Police were told a Mercedes coupe driven by a 49-year-old man was travelling north when it collided with a southbound Holden driven by a 47-year-old woman.
The Holden driver died at the scene.
The Mercedes driver suffered back injuries and was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition where he also underwent mandatory testing.
Following investigations into the crash, officers from Metropolitan Crash Investigation Unit yesterday (Monday, July 28) attended Sydney International Airport where they arrested the 41-year-old man upon his arrival back in the country.
He was taken to St George Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death and negligent driving occasioning death.
He was refused bail, and will appear in Kogarah Local Court today (Tuesday, July 29).
