SOUTHERN Districts Rugby Union Club has a big weekend approaching with two of its stars playing for the NSW Waratahs in the Super 15 final and grade and Colts teams in the club finals.
Kane Douglas and Ben Horne will represent the Waratahs against Canterbury Crusaders in the Super 15 decider at 7.30pm this Saturday at ANZ Stadium.
Both Douglas and Horne are vying for their place in history as being members of the first Waratahs team to win the Super 15 title.
Southern Districts Rugby Club general manager Craig Hawkins said it's a great achievement for the club at all levels to have their stars in the Waratahs team and grade and colts teams in finals.
"Congratulations to first grade, third grade, first grade colts, second grade colts and third grade colts for making the finals," Hawkins said.
"And to Kane and Ben playing well for the Waratahs all season."
The weekend schedule:
First grade v Eastwood at T.G. Milner Field on Sunday at 3pm; (the game is live on ABC1); third grade v Sydney Uni at 11.40am on Saturday at Pittwater Rugby Park; first grade Colts v Northern Suburbs, at 3pm, this Sunday at Forshaw Rugby Park; second grade Colts v Sydney Uni, at 11.40am, on Saturday at Forshaw Rugby Park, Sylvania Waters; third grade Colts v Manly at 10am this Saturday at Forshaw Rugby Park (back oval).
