Regarding the article "Club's future put to vote" (Leader, July 29).
Those of us in the local lawn bowls community have been shocked and disappointed with the closure of Francis Drake Bowling Club, despite the validity or otherwise of the decision.
However, following the defeat of the members resolution to reopen the club, it is now time for each member to determine his own future in the game and not be swayed by the few who remain bitter and disenchanted.
Since this whole sorry saga began, we have extended the hand of friendship to Francis Drake members. Those who want to join our bowling group at Ramsgate are most welcome and can help us build a stronger and more successful bowling club.
