CRONULLA-SUTHERLAND Junior Rugby League finals kick off this weekend.
Sharks junior league secretary Judd O'Shea said there were 57 semi-finals this Saturday and Sunday at shire grounds.
"The club officials, players and coaches can check our sportingpulse.com website for the venue and details," Mr O'Shea said.
"It has been a good year for rugby league this season with next to no rained-out games and the boys, girls and men have had little disruptions with bad weather."
Grand finals will be played at Remondis Stadium on August 30-31 and September 6-7.
"This gives an opportunity for every player in grand finals to play on the main stadium. This has never been made available before," Mr O'Shea said.
"This is a credit to the junior league and Cronulla football club boards and Sharks chief executive Steve Noyce for their hard work in making this happen."
Grand finals at Remondis Stadium will be played from under-8s through to A grade, in first, second and third divisions.
This season, the junior league has more than 4000 registered players and 1600 volunteers including coaches, trainers, committee members and canteen helpers.
In other junior league news, the annual Tommy Bishop Shield under-7s was won by St Marys Penrith last Sunday.
The Sharks had two teams finish runners up, De La Salle in the Endeavour Shield and Gymea in the Pepsi Cup.
The day was an emotional one for the Cronulla-Caringbah club as it marked he final time they would play games at Endeavour Field No. 2 Woolooware, next to Remondis Stadium.
Because of the Woolooware Bay development, the club will move their playing and training headquarters to Cronulla High School next year, where the Sharks and Bluestone are building new fields.
