Police are appealing for the public's help after a woman, 21, was indecently assaulted at Banksia early Saturday as she made the short walk to her home.
She was left with a puncture mark to her mouth.
The woman boarded a train at Town Hall station heading south about 12.10am.
She left the train at Banksia about 12.45am and started walking home on Judd Street. She was confronted by a man who allegedly indecently assaulted her.
She screamed and the man ran away.
Residents came to the woman’s aid and contacted emergency services.
She was treated by NSW Ambulance Paramedics for the mouth wound, but did not need further medical treatment.
St George police searched the area but could not find the man.
He is described as being of Indian sub-continental appearance, 160-165cm tall, with short black hair and medium build. He was last seen wearing a dark-coloured jacket with a collar and dark pants.
