ENROLMENTS continue to climb for Sydney Montessori School at Gymea.
Principal Raquel Charet said Generation Z's fever for Montessori education was evident in their enrolment numbers.
"Montessori education gives students the skill set they crave because it teaches them how to be self-starters," she said.
Ms Charet said the high school was a vibrant learning environment tailored for today's teenagers.
"Staff know and care for each student at a level which is simply not possible in a large school," she said.
"We also have a staff/student ratio of at least one teacher to 15 students."
Ms Charet said many people who had not had direct contact with a Montessori school did not understand why so much passion surrounded the Montessori method.
She said Larry Page and Sergei Brin, the founders of Google, credited their years as Montessori students as a major factor behind their success.
The high school program had been modified for 21st century Australia, Ms Charet said. Students study the BOSTES syllabuses, supplemented by opportunities to grow as individuals, in areas most teenagers were not exposed to.
"While their parents appreciate the diverse program offered, the biggest thing our students love of Dr Montessori's pedagogy is that the work of the school and the home should be kept separate," she said.
"So our students don't have homework."
