Re the article "A big blue bus aims to run over depression" (Leader, August 14): http://www.theleader.com.au/story/2484932/a-big-blue-bus-aims-to-run-over-depression/
I am writing to thank the residents of Hurstville and surrounds who welcomed the beyondblue National Roadshow team so warmly on our recent visit.
It was great to meet so many people who told us that they, or someone they knew, had benefited from the work beyondblue has done over the past 14 years.
The many insightful conversations we had about mental health confirmed that there is still a great need for beyondblue to continue raising awareness, reducing stigma, providing information and support to people with depression and anxiety, and their families, and tackling suicide.
Our big blue bus will continue travelling around Australia until May 2015 encouraging people to make a pledge and tune in to their mental health and join us by supporting beyondblue's work.
For those who missed our visit, you can always get information and find out where to get help in your area at beyondblue.org.au.
Thank you Hurstville for "Taking one step".
