In response to the sudden death of The Sopranos star last year, Jimmy Kimmel tweeted "I'm sadder about James Gandolfini than everyone else." Is it ghoulish that his was the first name I searched after hearing about Robin Williams? In the race to grieve faster, deeper and higher for Robin Williams, Kimmel's kind yet unremarkable condolence has not gained much traction. Everybody has managed to personalise this tragedy. In trying to express devastation each celebrity, one after another, could simply have claimed to be sadder about Williams than Kimmel was about Gandolfini.
