SYDNEY AFL: Southern Power women's team surged into the grand final with a three point win over Wollongong Saints. The Power's major semi-final win saw them kick 6.10 (46) to 6.7 (43). St George premier division thrashed Campbelltown Blues 17.19 (121) to 0.0.3 at Monarch Oval on Saturday.

BASKETBALL: Sutherland Sharks Waratah League men's team defeated Hills Hornets 93-79 in the quarter-final at Sutherland Basketball Stadium. The women's team defeated Newcastle, 86-49, in the quarter-finals.

Sutherland first grade men's team (Chris Lane picture) defeated Burwood Briars 2-1 at Sylvania Hockey Fields on Saturday. Sutherland will play Moorebank in the weekend semi-finals and the Sharks second grade team will play UNSW.
