IT IS all over for Rockdale City Suns but nobody could accuse them of going down without a fight.
The light went out on the Suns' season when they were beaten 2-1 by Sydney Olympic at Lambert Park, Leichhardt, on Saturday night.
Suns' midfielder Marco Jesic scored the team's lone goal.
Rockdale City Suns president Dennis Loether said the team fought hard.
"We're well into planning for next year," Loether said.
"That's across the board with our seniors and juniors."
Loether said Branko Culina had been reappointed as coach for next year, his third season.
In the under-20s elimination semi-final, Blacktown City FC defeated Sutherland Sharks 3-0.
But there was good news the Sharks' under-18s team, winning its qualifying final 2-1 against Blacktown City on Sunday at Blacktown.
