ST George police has welcomed four new recruits.
Ready to serve and protect, these graduates stepped into their careers after their attestation parade at the NSW Police Force Academy at Goulburn.
They were among 170 new probationary constables sworn into the force on August 22.
They will complete 12 months of on-the-job training before they graduate with an associate degree in policing practice with the University of Western Sydney through distance education, and work their way up to the rank of constable.
They attended a two-day induction of lectures this week, met their bosses, brushed up their knowledge of the latest crime trends and got out and about in the community.
They will work with field training officers who will monitor their assessments.
They will take part next month in a regional induction with all probationary constables in the central metropolitan region.
