Generous gesture from Arncliffe students
Children from St Francis Xavier Primary School, Arncliffe, filled more than 80 shoeboxes with basic necessities for the homeless during winter.
From soaps and creams to towels and hand-knitted scarves wrapped with fleece blankets, pupils and their families bundled the boxes which they will donate to the needy.
It was for St Vincent de Paul Night Patrol’s Love in a Box appeal which aims to help people living in poverty and suffering hardship.
Each gift was personalised with a message on behalf of the school.
