ENGADINE Dragons celebrated an emphatic first grade victory after thrashing Cronulla-Caringbah, 62-0, on Sunday, at Remondis Stadium.
The first weekend of the Cronulla Sutherland Junior Rugby League grand finals were held at the stadium.
The Dragons breathed fire with the premiership triumph cheered upon by a large number of club supporters.
Cronulla junior league secretary Judd O'Shea said more than 5000 people turned out for the opening weekend of grand finals.
"It was a terrific atmosphere on Saturday and Sunday," O'Shea said. "The people got behind the grand finals being played at Remondis Stadium."
De La Salle, Caringbah, won five grand finals with victories in the 8As, 11As, 12A, 14As and 15s first division (blue) age groups. The club will have 13 teams in the grand finals.
The final two days of grand finals in age groups from under-8Cs to under-16s second division will be played this Saturday and Sunday at Remondis Stadium.
