Police seize rottweiler after child bitten at Riverwood
St George police have seized a dog suspected of biting a child’s face at Riverwood this morning.
They were called to Belmore Road about 10am after reports that a boy, 2, was bitten by a rottweiler tied up outside a shop.
Although the dog and its owner had left the scene before police arrived, the dogs has been impounded.
The boy, is still in a stable condition, was taken to Westmead Children’s Hospital.
A NSW Police spokeswoman said that investigations were continuing with no decision made on the future of the dog.
