Investigations are continuing into the death of a man who was found in bushland at Otford on Tuesday.
The body of Jarrod Dark, 45, of Fairfield, was found with his hands bound, on a walking track to Werrong Beach, also known as Hell Hole Beach — a designated nudist area.
Werrong Beach is listed on internet sites as an unofficial gay hangout.
Mr Dark had earlier travelled to the location with two men, 43 and 37, who he met on social media.
The men told police they were forced to restrain Mr Dark after he became violent. They then left Mr Dark before attending Canterbury Hospital with head injuries.
The two men also contacted police about the incident.
A post mortem examination was carried out at Glebe Coroners Court on Wednesday.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
