Thursday (September 11) is RUOK Day, part of Mental Health Month, and Kogarah Community Services staff will be at Kogarah Library asking passers-by if they are OK.
The passing public will be encouraged to to ask others if they are OK too.
It’s all about identifying and acknowledging mental health problems and getting help.
Kogarah Community Services staff will be armed with self-help literature and other freebies and they can direct people to various workshops geared towards a healthy outlook on life.
■ The practice of daily gratitude: 10am-1pm, September 25, at Kogarah RSL.
■ Be positive workshop: 10am-1pm, October 9, at Club Central Hurstville.
■ Money matters - budgeting finances: 10am-1pm, October 16, at Club Central Hurstville.
■ A good night’s sleep workshop: 10am-1pm, October 22, at Club Central Hurstville.
■ Dressing for self-confidence and success: 10am-1pm, October 29, Salvation Army, 432 West Botany Street, Rockdale.
■ Healthy eating, healthy body, healthy mind: 10.30am-12.30pm, November 5, at Club Central Hurstville.
