Sutherland Shire RFS Inspector Scott Deller said the day was a great opportunity for people to meet the volunteers and learn important fire-safety tips.
"NSW RFS Open Day is a fun event for families and for the volunteers, who enjoy opening up their station and showing the local community what they do," he said.
"It's also a chance for residents to understand the bushfire risk in their area and what they can do to better prepare themselves for this bushfire season."
NSW RFS stations taking part in the open day include Bundeena, Loftus, Engadine, Menai, Illawong, Kurnell, Sandy Point, Heathcote, Waterfall and Woronora.
