RUGBY LEAGUE: Cronulla Sutherland Junior Rugby League‘s decision to hold the 2014 grand finals over two weekends was a winner at Remondis Stadium. Junior league secretary Judd O’Shea said 12,000 people attended four days of footy; there were 14 clubs and 3803 registered players in the competitions. Saints make grand final
NETBALL: St George third division women’s State League team will play the grand final against Northern Suburbs at 3pm on Saturday at Anne Clark Netball Centre, Lidcombe. The Saints beat Ku-ring-gai 51-42 to qualify.

CRICKET: Sutherland District Cricket Club pair Shane Watson and Steve Smith are in the three Australian squads for matches against Pakistan in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi in the United Arab Emirates on October 5 to November 3.
