More than 40,000 people attended the annual Cronulla Spring Festival on the weekend.
Damp weather on Saturday did not deter the crowds.
Live entertainment, delicious food and market stalls were highlights.
Kirrawee High School’s stage band and singers opened the festival with a bang on Saturday and musician Sharnielle Hartley and a choir ended it on Sunday afternoon.
Singing and dance groups, choirs and martial arts displays added to the festival atmosphere.
Children were delighted by stage shows, with Mr Potato Head, the Despicable Me 2 show and the Mr Peabody and Sherman Show attracting large crowds.
Kids could get up close to the animals at the baby animal farm and reptile shows.
Sutherland Shire mayor Steve Simpson announced the Cronulla Design Ideas Competition winners and opened voting for the People’s Choice Award (on for the next two weeks).
Vic Lake won first prize in the professional category, David Aaron Richardson and Michael White were joint winners of the student category and Fiona Benyon won the community category. The winning designs are on display in Cronulla Central or at www.sutherlandshire.nsw.gov.au
