PRIME real estate in St George and the Sutherland Shire is up for sale, with pubs and cinemas among the listings.
Cronulla Cinemas and its retail complex is currently on the market, offering a variety of tenants, including Greater Union, McDonald's, Boost Juice, Tree of Life and several other tenancies with long-term leases.
Beverly Hills Cinemas and Subway restaurant recently sold for $6.5 million to a local investor.
The sale was handled by Michael Ajaka and Ari Danas, of JLL, who are also managing the sale of Cronulla Cinemas.
They said cinemas were "stars" in the Sydney property market.
"The Cronulla Cinemas and retail complex is in a landmark, multi-level building at the entrance of Cronulla Plaza, in the area's main beachside retail precinct," said Mr Ajaka.
Gaming pubs could also be regarded as market stars.
The Leader reported last week Northies Cronulla had changed hands as part of a joint sale with Mona Vale Hotel for $57 million.
The Grand Hotel at Rockdale is the latest to hit the market. Worth an estimated $27 million, JLL hotels and hospitality group's Sam Handy and John Musca will steer the campaign.
The agents said the Grand Hotel represented one of the most keenly awaited Sydney gaming pub sales in the past five years.
"There is a diminishing availability of top-50 gaming pubs in private hands across Sydney for acquisition and the Grand Hotel has the irreplaceable locational business drivers that astute publicans will recognise as core to the very best gaming hotels in Sydney," Mr Musca said.
