Sydney Airport is reminding motorists to allow for extra time when travelling these school holidays with road works expected to cause delays.
The NSW school holidays end on Monday October 6 but dates may vary at some schools.
Road works at the T1 international terminal, aimed at improving traffic flow, are affecting the open-air car park and may cause delays in peak hours. Work is due to finish at the end of the year.
People should allow additional and the airport strongly recommends passengers should catch public transport where possible.
If you are driving, there are extra staff on hand throughout school holidays to manage traffic – but travellers are asked to be patient, follow directions and observe signs.
Passengers may be picked up only from designated pick-up areas so other vehicles are not blocked.
