Protection for passengers: Caringbah railway station’s new canopy.
Passengers waiting for a train at Caringbah have more protection from the elements after the installation of a huge, new steel canopy.
Transport for NSW said similar canopies, under the Transport Access program, would be fitted at Como, Heathcote, Loftus and Miranda stations by the end of the year.
The Caringbah work took place last weekend while the rail line was shut down.
Lighting is due to be added over the next few weeks.
