Two men are due in Sutherland Local Court on Wednesday after cigarettes, several mobile phones and instant scratch lottery tickets were stolen from an Oyster Bay news agency.
Sutherland police said someone forced their way into the shop on Como Road about 2.15am Tuesday.
Police stopped a Subaru Impreza at Miranda on Tuesday afternoon and spoke to the male driver, 38.
They searched the car and allege they found a box containing almost 500 packets of cigarettes.
They arrested the man and and another man, 36, in Crookwell Avenue, Miranda, and took them to Sutherland police station.
Police searched the Miranda house later and found four mobile phones in boxes and several packets of cigarettes.
Both men were charged with breaking, entering and committing a serious indictable offence and refused bail.
