FOUR Sutherland Shire Football Association teams have reached the Champion of Champions' grand finals next Sunday.
Lili Pilli over-45s men's, Miranda Magpies under-18s girls', Como all-age women's and Loftus over-30 women's teams will each play in their semi-finals this Sunday at the Harrie Dening Centre, Kareela.
Lilli Pilli over-45 men's defeated West Pymble, 3-2; Miranda Magpies under-18s girls' defeated Epping YMCA 2-0; Como all-age women defeated Glenwood Redbacks 4-1; and Loftus over-30s' women defeated Glenwood Rebacks 3-2.
Three other teams were gallant: they were Bonnet Bay under-21s, losing 2-4 to Maccabi Hakoah; Gymea United under-15s losing 4-5 on penaly shootout (the scores were 1-1 at extra-time) to Plumpton-Oakhurst; and Bosco under-17s losing 0-1 to Normanhurst.
The Champion of Champions is for all association-age grand final winners after their respective seasons are completed. Sunday's grand finals are at Blacktown Football Park and Cook Park, St Marys.
