Pru Goward's plan to allow apartments without parking to be built near railway stations is an excellent idea.
People would only buy or rent such units if they were able to use the trains to get to work easily.
Units could be bought and let on the condition the owner does not own a car.
From my point of view, what I think is ludicrous is people driving around in metal boxes, isolated from the rest of humanity and the environment, spewing carbon dioxide and other toxic gases into the atmosphere.
Such activity will help to make life impossible for our children and grandchildren.
Why do people take all the goodies that science and technology have to offer, but ignore the greenhouse effect and its cumulative effect on the atmosphere?
If more people use public transport, then the service will improve.
Pru Goward's idea will facilitate that.
