Mother, 76, charged with stabbing daughter after argument at Kirrawee
Sutherland police have charged a woman, 76, with reckless wounding after she stabbed her daughter, 39, during an argument at Kirrawee Friday night.
Police said the women were arguing at a home in Orana Avenue, Kirrawee about 9.15pm.
They allege the older woman stabbed her daughter in the stomach with a knife.
Police arrested the mother and took her to Sutherland Police Station where they later charged her with one count of reckless wounding.
She was granted conditional bail to appear in Sutherland Local Court on November 6.
The daughter had surgery at St George Hospital and is in a stable condition.
