POLICE are appealing to the public to help them find a man who can assist their investigation into a fatal quad bike crash near Griffith on Saturday.
According to police, a 25-year-old man was riding a quad bike on Stacy Road at Willbriggie when he was involved in a collision with another quad bike just after 4pm.
Emergency services were alerted and the man was taken to Griffith Base Hospital, where he died a short time later.
It is believed the rider of the other quad bike ran from the area.
Griffith police are investigating the events leading up to the crash and have appealed for public assistance to locate the other rider.
He is described as being 170- 175cm tall, thin build, Caucasian, with a tanned complexion, brown hair and unshaven facial hair.
The accident comes after a horror week involving motorcycles on Riverina roads.
On Tuesday, a motorcycle rider - believed to be from Darlington Point - was killed when his bike and a panel van collided on the Kidman Way at Willbriggie, about 5km north of Darlington Point.
Last weekend, 24-year-old Wagga man Scott Fisher died after the motorbike he was riding crashed into a tree.
Scott had travelled less than two kilometres along Perkins Road in the Bago State Forest near Tumbarumba when the accident occurred about 2pm last Saturday.
Scott's funeral service in Wagga on Friday remembered him as a friend and a legend.
