WALKLEY Award-winning cartoonist and Sydney Morning Herald illustrator John Shakespeare has drawn everything from prime ministers to exploding tomatoes.
But he met his match in "drawing machine" Sienna Burrell, 7, of Burraneer, one of three winners in the Sydney Morning Herald Shakespeare children's drawing competition.
Entrants were asked to submit a simple black-and-white line drawing for Shakespeare to "complete" in colour.
Sienna drew a picture of her dog, Barley.
Her Dad, Clinton, said his daughter's favourite hobby was drawing.
"Her pictures are up everywhere in the house," he said.
"She is a drawing machine."
Sienna is the granddaughter of former Leader editor Jim Burrell, who died in June 2008.
"Dad would be quietly very proud of her," Mr Burrell said.
Shakespeare's work covers mediums from cartoons and caricatures to 3D computer illustrations.
