Gift of sight: Recycle your old reading glasses
THE outdated pair of reading glasses sitting unused in your top drawer could change someone's life.
The Lions Club initiative Recycle for Sight has delivered 2.5 million pairs of recycled glasses to impoverished areas around the world in the past 15 years, but more are needed.
Guardian Funerals, Simplicity Funerals and White Lady Funerals have supported Recycle for Sight for six years and are urging people to donate their old eyeglasses to any of their south-west Sydney funeral directors during business hours.
