SOUTHERN Sydney's biggest motorcycle safety event Breakfast Torque has found a new home.
The growing popularity of the event has caused it to be moved from Loftus to a larger venue at Waratah Oval in Rawson Avenue, Sutherland.
The 11th annual Breakfast Torque will be on Sunday, October 26, 8am-noon.
The event promotes the essential elements of motorcycle safety and is sponsored by Sutherland Shire, Kogarah and Rockdale councils and the Motorcycle Council of NSW.
The day will include motorcycle demonstrations, live entertainment and a free breakfast.
Brendan Jones from the Jonesy and Amanda Show on 101.7 WSFM will host Breakfast Torque alongside guest speakers Chris Smith from 2GB, Lance Turnley from Offroad Explorer magazine and Australia's No. 1 street bike stunt rider, Dave Mckenna, who will put on three stunt shows.
Three rider training organisations — HART, Skill Master and Ride it Right — will provide demonstrations that will focus on low-speed bike control and positioning, and there will be test rides of new Triumph bikes from Procycles.
Shire band Reload will entertain.
Prizes include equipment and apparel donated by Skillmaster Motorcycle Services, HART, Caringbah Motorcycles, Sydney Performance Motorcycles, Motorcycle Accessories Supermarket, DV8 Leather, Xtra Health Mobile (Earmoulds) and Ride It Right.
Entry will be by gold-coin donation to the charity partner, Steven Walter Children's Cancer Foundation.
