Re: the article "Petinos to contest Miranda" (Leader, October 16).
Imagine my surprise Premier Mike Baird was walking with the unknown Liberal candidate for Miranda, Eleni Petinos, down the main street of Gymea (pictured).
Unfortunately, they did not contact the Gymea Chamber of Commerce to arrange interaction with local small businesses.
What a missed opportunity.
I hope this is not representative of what is to come.

Another 'blow in'?
Ms Eleni Petinos: 28-year-old tax lawyer — member of state executive and far right faction.
It's just what the Miranda electorate, and particularly Menai, need — another blow-in LNP lawyer representing them in Parliament.
Her expertise would be more in line with promoting big business than hard-working residents.
It doesn't say much for the electorate that they can't put up a candidate who has their area at heart.
Long standing Bundeena resident?
My mother-in-law who is 90-plus fits that bill.
