PREMIER Mike Baird has officially opened the new Service NSW office in Hurstville.
The office began operating late last month and staff have served more than 6000 customers.
"With low waiting times and a customer satisfaction score of 98 per cent, this centre is setting new standards for service delivery for the residents and businesses in St George," Mr Baird said.
The "one-stop shop" for a wide range of government "paper work" has taken over the functions of the motor registry, while also providing other services.
Customers can do more than 800 government transactions including boat registrations, birth certificates, Seniors Card applications, owner builder permits and public housing payments.
The office at 4-8 Woodville Street is open from 7am to 7pm weekdays and 9am to 3pm Saturday, which are longer hours than the old motor registry.
The office has concierge services and online kiosks to help people conduct their transactions even faster.
Mr Baird said at the opening last Tuesday that it was the 21st Service NSW office.
"By July next year there will be 36 sites open across the state with more to come," he said.
