St George first grade cricket team opener Stewart McCabe will captain the team in the absence of regular leader Trent Copeland on Saturday against Easts at Waverley Oval.
NSW fast bowler Copeland is out with back stress fractures and McCabe is deputising.
Copeland is expected to return in round four and play only as a batsman until he gets a medical clearance.
Play starts against Easts at 10.30am on Saturday.
