ONE team from the St George and Sutherland Shire are ready to ride for MS Australia this weekend.
Team Xtreme are a group of social cyclists, men and women of all ages, who ride and run for fitness, fun and staying young.
They regularly get involved in community fund-raisers.
For the past five years they have entered and completed in the annual MS Gong Ride.
This year it will be held on Sunday, November 2.
Proceeds are donated to MS Australia funding resources for people affected by multiple scelerosis.
Team Extreme has raised more than $110,000 over the past five years.
"Last year we raised $38,312 and finished ninth out of 920 teams, and three of our riders were were in the top 100," Team Xtreme member Maria Karantonis said.
She said Peter Karantonis, Nick Tselios, Jim Kostopoulos, Trent McKean and Paul Stamatelatos are Team Xtreme founders.
SBS presenter Michael Tomalaris, a former Leader sports writer, is a Team Xtreme member.
There will be a trivia and games fund-raiser at 7.30pm on Friday, October 31, at the Cyprus Community Club.
