CRONULLA Surf Life Saving Club was formed in 1907 and it is the oldest of the Bate Bay clubs.
Cronulla has a tradition of many families as active members.
The Goode and Halpin families have long and proud associations.
Ian Goode, a club life member, said their families had four generations as Cronulla members.
He is a life member of Surf Life Saving Sydney, NSW and Australia bodies.
"My late father Ron Goode, and my wife's late father Wallace Halpin were members of Cronulla," Ian Goode said.
Wallace Halpin was a life member of Cronulla.
"My wife Michele was the first woman to get a bronze medal at Cronulla," Ian Goode said.
Ian and Michele's family generation extends to their son Justian; daughter-in-law Louise; grandchildren Felix, six months, Marlee, 5, and Eva, 2.
Michele's mother Phyliss Halpin is a proud club member.
