MOTORISTS can expect delays on Sunday when thousands of cyclists take to the road for the MS Sydney to the Gong Bike Ride.
Rides start at 6am and 8.30am and travel along the Princes Highway, Bestic Street, The Grand Parade, Sandringham Street, Taren Point Road and the Kingsway to Kirrawee before rejoining the Princes Highway and continuing to Waterfall, through the Royal National Park and along coastal roads to Fairy Meadow.
Motorists should plan ahead for limited access to the Royal National Park. Some roads from St Peters to Dolls Point will be closed from 4am until 11am while roads at Waterfall, the Royal National Park and Otford will close from 6am until 3pm.
Southbound traffic on the Princes Highway from Sutherland to Waterfall will be heavy from 8am until noon. The speed limit will be reduced to 60km/h.
One southbound lane of the highway will be closed from Heathcote to Waterfall between 5am and 1pm.
