Two St George and Sutherland Shire men have been arrested after an investigation into the supply of drugs by a international air cargo employee.
Polaris Joint Waterfront Taskforce formed Operation Apterous to investigate the employee over the supply of methylamphetamine.
Police arrested a Wattle Grove man, 44, on Wednesday at 3pm near Bankstown.
A short time later, they arrested a man, 48, at Beverly Hills and a man, 46, at Hurstville.
Searches were then made of houses in Wattle Grove and Narwee and at a Hurstville business.
Methylamphetamine, drug paraphernalia and electronic equipment were found during the searches.
The Wattle Grove man was charged with ongoing drug supply and was refused bail to appear in Burwood Court on November 5.
The 48-year-old man was charged with ongoing drug supply and was refused bail to appear in Sutherland Court today.
The 46-year-old man was charged with two counts of drug supply and will appear at Kogarah Court on December 2.
Polaris Joint Waterfront Taskforce commander Detective Superintendent Nick Bingham said the officers attached to Operation Apterous had done outstanding investigative work.
“Methylamphetamine is a drug that we see, daily, having an adverse impact on the community. In particular, it has a profound effect on the families of those who are addicted and the emergency workers who respond to methylamphetamine-related incidents.’’
