The new local comedy series, Soul Mates (ABC2, Thursday, 9.30pm), does not justify the existence of ABC2, but TV quite this odd probably would not find a home elsewhere. ABC2 offers an ideal array of entertainment for somebody recovering from a double amputation, watching a TV in bed, with a broken remote. Such a rare and unfortunate set of circumstances also saves unsuspecting, already unhappy viewers the ordeal of accidentally seeing Dancing with the Stars, or Big Brother, or Mrs Brown's Boys, and so many other blockbuster prime-time terrors offered on free-to-air commercial television.
