Police are still investigating an overnight drive-by shooting at Hurstville.
Shots were fired at a small house in Patrick Street at about 9pm.
A police statement this morning said ‘‘investigating officers did not believe it to have been a random attack,’’ but people at the house disputed this.
A woman at the house this morning said the shooting could not have been deliberate.
"I've said it 10 times already," she said.
"It's been a mistake. That's it. "
A metal fence in front of the house had been damaged by gunfire.
One of her neighbours said the incident was the first trouble he had seen in the street.
"I heard two gunshots and a car drove off," he said.
"There were police here the entire night. I did not sleep.’’
Do you know anything about the shooting?
