THEY’VE promised to show real people and real drama when the The Shire reality series hits Australian television screens on Monday, July 16.
Network Ten revealed its first promotional clip of the show to give viewers a sneek peak of what to expect.
The short commercial, which aired during the fourth episode of reality show Being Lara Bingle on Tuesday night, showed some of the cast members including singing teacher Tegan Rogers, 24, and restaurant manager Kerry, 26.
The network has pitched the ‘‘dramality’’ as a series that follows the ‘‘lives and loves of a group of young Australians who are destined to become some of the most talked about people in
Australia’’.
They have described the cast, aged 20 to 26, as a mix of hot surfers, vivacious models, the girls next door, on-and-off couples, loveable rogues and the entrepreneurs.
‘‘It’s fun, it’s feisty and it can’t be stopped,’’ said Network Ten chief programming officer, David Mott.
‘‘The Shire will be a show that captivates, amuses and dare we say astounds audiences.
‘‘Some will love it, some will hate it, everyone will want to watch it.’’
The Shire will air at 8pm on Monday, July 16 on Channel Ten.
